This post is my root cause fertility journey—the story of how pain, loss, and healing led me to the work I do today through The Egg Awakening™.

As we step into a new year, reflection comes naturally.

But for me, the past few years haven’t just been about milestones or accomplishments…

They’ve been about transformation.

The kind that comes through loss, waiting, healing, and learning how to listen to your body when something feels off.

This is the story behind why I do what I do today.

And why I believe so deeply in root-cause fertility support.

My Root Cause Fertility Journey: From Pain to Purpose

When Your Body Starts Whispering

In my twenties, I dealt with chronic digestive issues that no one could quite explain.

Doctors offered surface-level solutions.

Eliminate this. Try that. Move on.

So, I did what so many women do…

I adapted.

I learned to live with discomfort.

I normalized symptoms that weren’t normal.

When the Symptoms Get Louder

By my mid-thirties, my cycles became debilitating.

Migraines.

Cramping.

Pain that disrupted my life.

And yet, for years, I was told it was just part of being a woman.

Until one doctor finally looked deeper.

I had multiple fibroids — including one so large it had likely been growing for over a decade.

That moment changed everything.

Because it confirmed what I already knew:

My body had been speaking for years. No one was listening.

The Beginning of Root-Cause Work

Surgery brought relief…

But it didn’t bring answers.

My hormones were dysregulated.

My energy was low.

And once again, I found myself in familiar territory:

Trying to “fix” things without a full map.

So, I returned to what had always pulled me in…

Nutrition. Lifestyle. Healing. Research.

Not trends.

Not quick fixes.

But understanding the body at the root.

The Fertility Chapter I Never Expected

Shortly after my fibroid journey, I became pregnant.

And then…

I experienced four miscarriages over the next three years.

That kind of grief changes you.

It strips things down.

It forces questions no one prepares you for.

And yet, even in the heartbreak, something in me stayed awake:

A deep belief that the body isn’t broken…

It’s communicating.

So, I kept listening.

Through acupuncture.

Through fertility treatments.

Through prayer.

Through nourishment.

Through learning everything I could about hormones, inflammation, cycles, and egg health.

By Grace, Light Came

After one round of IVF, we were blessed with our daughter.

And I will never take that miracle lightly.

But what stayed with me most wasn’t just the outcome…

It was the journey.

The realization that so many women are walking through this silently.

Overwhelmed.

Dismissed.

Told to “just keep trying.”

The Call I Couldn’t Ignore

For years, I felt a quiet pull:

Share what you’ve learned.

Help other women feel less lost.

Bring clarity where there is confusion.

Support where there is shame.

And in the midst of personal loss and family illness, that call became impossible to ignore.
