Growth is Part of the Process

Pivoting from 4 years of infertility struggles to mentoring education, empowerment, and advocacy. #infertility #ivf

I didn't really realize it at the time, but my journey began nearly over 5 years ago. When I had my first miscarriage a seed was planted. I had no idea that would lead to three additional miscarriages, a failed IUI, a successful IVF --and finally to the present: a certified integrative nutrition and fertility coach!

What!? Yes, I still find it hard to believe sometimes. When people ask why I decided to do this, I unequivocally state that MY STORY, my experience, my heartbreak, and ultimately my wins ---motivated me to do what I do now.

You see, I learned 3 things from my experience.

1. You have control of your health.

2. Your diagnosis is not definitive.

3. If you can get to the root cause, you can change your outcome.

Sounds simple right? I can assure you infertility is anything but simple. It's messy. It's emotional. It's physical. It's expensive. It can and often times does break you. It tests the very limits of your emotional capacity in ways I can't even sum up eloquently. So, I will conclude, infertility sucks!

When Your Pain Becomes Your Purpose

However, over the course of the last 4 years I kept feeling a calling. A nudge if you will. To help women and couples dealing with infertility. I have a way of conveying health information that is palatable, comprehensive but understood. And I have a balanced bedside manner in which to relate to people based on individuality.

When I realized that my success story was my purpose and would now, subsequently become my passion, a fire in me was ignited. It had been slow burning for a bit as I dabbled in helping people with weight loss and wellness products. And it picked up momentum as I completed my health coach certification. But it had not been until most recently that the flames took off, both bigger and brighter. Til finally the message was clear. I had arrived.

I can't help everyone, but I can help women who are where I was

When you realize you have a gift that has been placed on your heart, you want to share it. You want everyone to know. You think everyone should know. But what I realized is, not everyone is going to be as excited as I am, and there is really no way I can help everyone. The saying goes, 'When you try to help everyone, you help no one."

With this epiphany, I made the decision I am going to keep going where my heart has been calling all along, but I just needed to get here on my timetable. I have pivoted my practice and specialty to helping women improve their hormones naturally and to improve their egg health within 90 days.

Why? Because I did. I want to share how I was able to do it, and help others do the same. I found a winning formula that I now offer in my program. I focus on 3 fundamental things:

1. I provide the emotional support so desperately needed to navigate something so personal.

2. I introduce sustainable lifestyle & behavioral shifts that increase your success rate.

3. I provide 1:1 mentoring that fosters collaboration with doctors and specialists to ensure the journey is individualized.

Pivoting is not hard for me. But sometimes I don't realize it happening until it's completed! I wanted to share this with you because it is so personal, and this is such a personal journey.
